What is pedigree?

I am not very much of a pet person... can someone please explain this to me? Not in a very complex way though, then I won't understand.

To be honest pedigree is very simple to understand:

Talents are ranked as follow:

Uncommon: These give you 1 point towards your pedigree total
common: These give you 2 points for your pedigree total
rare: These give you 3 points for your pedigree total
Ultra rare: These give you 4 points for your pedigree total
Epic: These give you 5 points to your pedigree total

Now pedigree quite simply put is all your talents and derby talents added up. However, your manifested pedigree is all your talents you have manifested added up together.

If you need more of an explanation I would be willing to meet in game and explain it a little more clearly for you.
